1. Overview

Voice (available at legitly.com/voice.html) is a free speech-to-text tool. With your permission to use the microphone, it converts what you say into text that you can copy and use anywhere. It also offers an optional paid feature that turns your spoken words into a court-ready, verifiable transcript document.

Microphone access is required for the tool to work. Location access is optional — you do not have to share your location, and the tool will still function without it. This page is subject to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Free Features

The free tier lets you:

• capture speech and convert it to text in real time; and
• copy the resulting text to send however you like — by email, text message, or on social media.

It is a straightforward, no-cost way to dictate notes, messages, and statements.

3. Court-Ready Document Generator (Paid)

The built-in document generator takes your speech-to-text output and turns it into an official pleading-style document that is numbered, lined, and ready to be signed and notarized. Each generated transcript includes:

• numbered lines, Times New Roman type, and a margin rule;
• a declaration block and a notary block at the bottom;
• a unique SHA-256 fingerprint, with the document verifiable at legitly.com/voice-check; and
• your original audio recording archived alongside the document.

Deliverables. For the paid transcript you receive a verified-voice-transcript PDF, an editable Word (.doc) version of the verified voice transcript, the original voice recording, and a receipt.

4. View a Sample

You can preview how the document looks and functions using the View Sample button. The sample shows a verified voice transcript including the date and time recorded, the location of record (if location permission is granted), the selected language, the length, the number of words in the statement, and a print-ready layout.

5. Pricing

The verified, court-ready voice transcript is 50 cents ($0.50). The standard speech-to-text and copy features are free.

6. Permissions, Privacy, and Disclaimer

Voice requires microphone access to function; location is optional and never required. Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy. The court-ready generator produces a document for your use and convenience; it is a generator tool and not legal advice, and Legitly does not act as your attorney, notary, or court. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of anything you dictate and generate.
